PRINT ONLY SERVICE
You must ensure your data for print is 100% print-ready and is submitted as per our artwork specifications.
ALL SUBMITTED ARTWORK MUST BE IN CMYK MODE, 300 DPL RESOLUTION, PDF FORMAT, BE CORRECTLY SIZED FOR THE REQUESTED PRODUCT AND HAVE 3MM
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL BLEED AND TRIM MARKS.
FAILURE TO MEET THESE SPECS MAY RESULT IN PRINTING DELAYS.
* Image files can be submitted in jpeg format at an additional £2.40 (inc VAT) cost.
Colour
mode:
Please always supply your job files in CMYK mode. Colours created in RGB mode are generally never the same as colours in CMYK mode. Colour saturation should never exceed 240% in total otherwise faulty printing will result. 100% Black (K), 50% Cyan (C) and 50% Magenta (M) is sufficient for a deep black. Colour saturation should be at least 15%.
When submitting PDF files to us for print, we require them to be saved as PDF/X-1a 2001 and saved with the colour profile iso coated v2. Alternatively if you do not have the option of iso coated v2 within your design software you could save the colour profile to your PDF/X-1a as FOGRA 39 or Euroscale coated v2.
If you are unable to save the PDF to the PDF/X-1a standard we can accept JPEG files for print instead.
The colour profile ISO Coated v2 can be downloaded from the ECI website by using the link below -
Alternatively you can use Euroscale Coated v2 (FOGRA 1) if you cannot achieve the ISO Coated v2 setting. This colour profile should be one available to you as an option within all recent versions of Adobe Photoshop.
Size
and bleed:
Please create an additional margin of 1mm to the final trimmed size on each side (3mm in the case of posters). Important lettering, graphics and information should be placed at least 3mm (5mm in the case of posters, 7mm for magazines) inside the trimmed size. Create your data format so that it fits our standard data format. Please do not use fold and/or cut marks. If you send us double-sided PDFs for leaflets we will use the first side as outside (front page) and the second as the inside.
Format:
Overprint:
Overprint
function is usually used to avoid gaps between background and
writings or texts during print.
As standard setting it is defined that the colour "black" should overprint. Please inherit this standard. Additional manual adjusted overprint can not be supported while in the printing process. To avoid unwanted printing results please make sure that your documents do not contain any overprinting objects.
